My Breast’s Friend: together for the fight against breast cancer

A project

The sad consequences of breast cancer, a global scourge, are not only felt by the victim but also affect the whole family and worry the descendants. Costly for health systems, beds are likely occupied to treat patients in all hospitals.

But there is hope since research is advancing and we now know that genes (BRCA) are involved. It is, according to the Canadian Cancer Society, “the most common form of cancer in women in Canada”. According to the American Cancer Society, the causes of breast cancer are not known.

MBF is a major project, initiated in 2021, by Professor Patrick Lemire who has been involved in biotechnology since 1987. MBF is dedicated to research on the prevention of breast cancer.

Committed scientists

A multidisciplinary team of scientists (chemists, biochemists, geneticists, doctors, physicists, engineers, biostatisticians, etc.) study how breast cancer begins and tries to determine its exact causes and mechanisms.

Cutting-edge studies, framed by rigorous research protocols, will lead to results that will ultimately make it possible to formulate recommendations for future generations so that they can avoid this unfortunate fate.

The mission, to reduce the occurrence of breast cancer, will then be completed. Nobody will be surprised if, the individuals faithful to the recommendations of the team in question, also avoid other cancers

To contribute

It is possible to participate in this project in several ways:

If this subject touches you or if you believe research on breast cancer prevention is relevant, you can make a donation.

To join the team of researchers, send us your curriculum vitae including a cover letter.

If you have a clue about what causes breast cancer, let us know here.

If you wish to possibly receive the recommendations to avoid breast cancer, leave your details here.
